Stephanie Kaye Smith

Stephanie comes from a long line of artists, including Stan Snouffer, who would tease his fourteen year old cousin and high school art student by saying all she could draw was flies; although upon high school graduation, inspired her with this inscription inside a book cover, "Along with your talent and gifts in art, goes the obligation to educate people to the necessity of this in their lives. Whether you convince them to participate themselves, or support us as audience, we, as artists, owe this to our fellow man."

Stan died young and prior to seeing Stephanie employ his counsel as a key ambition in her life as she studied art at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio; Henderson State University in Arkadelphia Arkansas; and Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has also traveled extensively, including living in Edinburgh, Scotland while her husband Drew earned his Ph.D., allowing for the opportunity to view much of the world's fine art.

Upon returning to the States, Stephanie taught in the Visual Art department at Ouachita Baptist University for ten years before opening her own art center on Main Street in Arkadelphia where she continues to follow her teacher and cousin's advice.
