Morgan
is essentially a self-taught ceramic artist who has gained experience
through various workshops and classes. He has called Arkadelphia
home for the past 15 years along with his wife Tammy and his two
sons Declend and Aiden.
Morgan has found the Raku technique of firing
to be truly rewarding. It fulfills the desire for immediate results.
The interaction from start to finish allows for one-of-a-kind vessels
to be born from fire. His work includes Raku, pit fired and horse-hair
techniques.
Morgan has gallery representation and his work
is found in private collections internationally. Morgan's work can
also be found in Henderson State University's Private Art collection.
With several shows in the local area, he is fast becoming a premiere
Raku artist in his region.
Morgan will be demonstrating the Raku firing
process and show how pottery is thrown on the wheel.
